Why I love bringing specialty coffee to wedding celebrations

It goes without saying that weddings are incredibly special days, and being invited to serve coffee during what is likely the most important day in someone’s life is an honor that I am still trying to take in! I knew that the coffee cart would allow us to serve in so many unique and exciting spaces; it’s one of the main reasons we started this adventure! However, I really didn’t anticipate the beauty and joy that would come from serving coffee at wedding celebrations.
When I think about why I love these events, there are so many reasons I could list, but here are a few big ones that come to mind:
Seeing the bride & groom enjoying the coffee with their guests!
I always love seeing people with a “loyal cup” in their hands. It’s truly one of the most gratifying feelings, and it’s totally magnified when serving a bride and groom! These are people who chose to include craft coffee in their special day, and watching them sip a latte and laugh with their guests is beyond rewarding. These are some of the moments that we take home and cherish forever!
Getting to create signature drinks for the happy couple!
Every couple has a story and flavor palate that is special to them, and we try our best to showcase that through custom drinks. At a recent welcome party, we had the opportunity to roast two single-origin coffees from Colombian producers to honor the bride’s heritage. Not only were these so delicious (Colombian coffee never disappoints!), but they brought so much meaning to the celebration. During another wedding reception, we served “Hers” and “His” drinks that the couple selected themselves - an iced honey-vanilla latte and a classic, dark cold brew. These were both huge hits!

Sometimes we are added to the celebration alongside a traditional bar, and sometimes we are serving coffee as an alternative to one, and either way, it’s been a blast! Coffee adds another kind of energy to wedding celebrations; guests have grabbed a latte on their way back to the party, caught up with friends over a cold brew at the cart, or enjoyed a quieter moment to take it all in with a warm americano in hand. Plus, after hours of celebrating, that extra bit of caffeine can be the perfect pick-me-up for guests looking to recharge and fully enjoy the rest of the evening. This is all to say that there is something cozy and inviting about serving coffee at these celebrations!

As I mentioned, the list could go on, but I’ll end this blog by saying how thankful we are to have served at such events. Even if we add a tiny bit of joy and comfort to these big life moments, I consider that a huge success, and we will never take this for granted!
We look forward to the privilege of continuing to serve you, whether that is at a wedding, pop-up, or anywhere in between!
